It’s all about the foot!

It’s a WRAP!

Last night I finished sewing down the binding on my Easy Street mystery quilt (Bonnie Hunter’s 2012 mystery quilt pattern).

Retreat time!

When you hear the word ‘retreat’ you probably think of solitude, quiet, relaxation, and time away from the rat race.  When you pair that word with ‘quilting’ you get…noise from laughter and discussions with friends and the hum of machines, friendship instead of solitutde and focus on projects rather than relaxation…unless you find quilting relaxing…and WE DO!

Super Bowl Sew-in

We quilted….and then we wilted!

Pam arrived just after 9:30 a.m. and after we got all of her bags and machine in place we headed for the kitchen to put together with brunch treat which my DH had heard about on the radio on a recent road trip.

Sewing Saturday!!

New Years Day – Tradition and What a Cut up!!

We have a tradition in our family that we visit my sister who makes Porzelky (pronounced por-cel-cha), a Mennonite traditional New Years cookie.  It’s really a fritter with raisins and they are yummy hot out of the deep fryer dusted with icing sugar.  My sister is the one who carried on the tradition of making them.
